“It means the world. I worked my a*s off man,” a sobbing Tiafoe said winning 7-5 7-6 6-7 7-5.
“I told my parents 10 years ago [that] I was going to be a pro and change their life and my life.”
Moving on though, Taifoe has been handed a mountainous task as he is scheduled to lock horns with world No. 2 Rafael Nadal.
“I can’t do anything, his is going to run me like crazy. I gotta go to sleep now,” he said of the Spaniard.
Not that he’s not going to give it his all on Tuesday. “He would better get ready,” Tiafie warned.
