Maria Sharapova may have had a disappointing US Open, but she seems to have gotten over it.
The Russian tennis star suffered a fourth-round exit after a straight sets defeat at the hands of Spain’s Carla Suarez Navarro last week. But, she appeared in high spirits at Ralph Lauren’s golden jubilee celebrations.
The fashion label’s event, which was held at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, New York, on Sunday, saw a number of bigwigs from the fashion world grace their presence.. And, Maria Sharapova looked second to none as she sizzled in a black ensemble.
She later took to her official Instagram account to share some pictures with her 3.3 million followers.
“It was an incredibly uplifting, magical evening. Central Park, under the evening mist…portraying the timeless romanticism Ralph has spoiled the world for 50 years,” read the caption.
Sharapova, 31, also posed alongside well-known fashion designer, Jason Wu. “My @ralphlauren show seat mate,” she wrote.
