VIDEO: Grigor Dimitrov accuses Pablo Carreno Busta of lack of sportsmanship at Barcelona Open
Tempers flared at the Barcelona Open on Friday as Grigor Dimitrov accused Pablo Carreno Busta of lack of sportsmanship during their third-round encounter.
During the second set tiebreaker, a Dimitrov service landed just around the T-line to which Busta – after somehow managing to return – responded with a shrug.
Subsequently, Dimitrov lost an easy forehand volley but expressed that he was disturbed with Busta’s reaction, which, he believed, suggested the service landed wide.
Chair umpire Carlos Bernardes, however, conveyed that he didn’t see where exactly the ball landed and gave the point to Dimitrov.
The Bulgarian was done expressing his disappointment with his Spanish counterpart’s gesture though.
Following Busta’s 6-3 7-6 win, Dimitrov had quite a few words to say at the net. “As a man, you should have said what you did. I’ll remember this,” he said.
Dimitrov is so wrong here. Pablo showed no signed of stopping the point. He was simply assuming that Dimitrov would end it with a very easy swinging volley. pic.twitter.com/U82gjkeHDM

Así ha terminado el Carreño-Dimitrov. “Me acordaré de esto”. Máxima tensión pero el español a semifinales (vía @TennisTV) pic.twitter.com/H34Dv6GB5H

Whose fault was that?
