How Daria Kasatkina handled a ruthless Angelique Kerber forehand will surprise you
Daria Kasatkina continued her giant-killing spree at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells as she ousted former world No. 1 Angelique Kerber 6-0 6-2 to reach the semi-finals on Thursday.
As the scoreline suggests, Kasatkina was at her brutal best. The way she handled a vicious forehand from Kerber by slice-returning on the backhand, was probably the shot of the match.

She also unleashed an accurate lob as a hapless Kerber could do nothing but watch the ball sail over her head from the net.

By the virtue of her win over Kerber, Kasatkina defeated third Grand Slam champion in a row, having upset Sloane Stephens and Caroline Wozniacki earlier this week.
Moving on, she is scheduled to lock horns with American veteran Venus Williams in the last-four stage.
A fourth consecutive conquest of a Major winner? We shall see.
