The cricket fraternity poured in birthday wishes for former Indian batsman Mohammad Kaif, who celebrated his 37^th birthday today (Friday).

Among the many wishes, there was one that stood out.

Suresh Raina didn’t forget to hail Kaif for his fielding skills – something for which he has always been known.

“Happy birthday @MohammadKaif. You made me believe fielding can change the course of the match and fielding has now been redefined in cricket because of people like you!” Raina wrote.

“Fondly remember our hostel days where we showed runs saved were as important as runs scored.”

Kaif replied, saying: “Thank you very much @ImRaina. Hostel days were indeed brilliant and you have raised the fielding bar wonderfully well. Wish you the best always.”

Kaif represented India in 125 One-Day Internationals and 14 Test matches from 2000 to 2006. He is currently captains Andhra Pradesh in Ranji Trophy.
