VIDEO: David Goffin’s Phone Rings on Court, Disrupts Proceedings
In an unusual occurrence on court, the quarter-final action at the Moselle Open was briefly disrupted by a mid-match phone call on Friday.
It happened during the encounter between David Goffin and Nicolas Mahut, when the former left the standpoint to put his phone off, on hearing it ring.
No wonder, Goffin had a wry smile on his face as he jogged his way back to serve. Mahut was also as smiley.
It, apparently, led to a lapse in Goffin’s concentration as he went on to concede the second set via tie-breaker. He, however, managed to wrap up the decider.
Moving on, he is scheduled to cross the swords with Lucas Pouille in the last-four stage on Saturday.
