14-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal will begin his quest for a third US Open title when the season-ending Grand Slam gets underway on August 29.

Much has been spoken of Nadal’s injury concerns of late, with the Spaniard missing out on two-and-a-half-months of action due to a wrist injury. He, however, shrugged off the issues as he hit the ground running on the practice courts at Flushing Meadows.

The 30-year-old wore a sleeveless blue t-shirt over shorts of its darker shade as the tournament shutterbugs couldn’t resist from capturing his strokes.

Having missed out on a podium finish at the recently-concluded Rio Games followed by a failure at the Cincinnati Masters, Nadal will be keen on improving his season record of 35-12 at an event, where he has triumphed on two occasions in 2010 and 2013.
