Former Bangladesh Cricketer Mohammad Ashraful‘s ban will end on Saturday, making him eligible to partake in domestic cricket.

The 32-year-old batsman was accused of spot-fixing during the Bangladesh Premier League in 2013, following which he was banned for eight years initially. However, his appeal was responded to by trimming down the ban, allowing him to compete from August 13.

Ashraful, however, will still not be eligible to feature in international cricket and the other prized T20 leagues for another two years, reports Dhaka Tribune.

The Dhaka-native will also have to bear a sum of 100,00,00 taka (approx USD 12,761) as fine for his wrongdoings, the report added.
