Caroline Wozniacki Reveals Her Goals for 2016 Season
Danish tennis superstar, Caroline Wozniacki, has set her eyes upon a flourishing 2016 season as she begins her preparations for the season-opening ASB Classic to be held from January 4-9 in Auckland, New Zealand.
Speaking about her goals for the upcoming season, the 25-year-old Wozniacki articulated her desire to lay her hands upon a Grand Slam trophy, and also pull off a medal for her country at the prestigious Rio Olympics 2016.
“My goal is for this season to win one or more Grand Slams and get a medal at the Olympics in Rio,” the former World No. 1, who finished as the runner-up at this year’s edition here, was quoted as saying by New Zealand Herald.
Wozniacki also talked about her form, saying that a good off-season has shaped her in the top of her game, and that she’s up and ready to kick-start the fresh season.
“There are many good players but I believe in myself and I know I’m one of the best players in the world,” she continued. “I have had a great off-season so I feel I’m on the top of my game.
“In this form I can beat anybody. So if I play to my best during the tournament, I will be holding the trophy in the end of the week.”
