Grigor Dimitrov opens up on his split with Maria Sharapova
Nothing has been going on track for Grigor Dimitrov this year. The Bulgarian tennis star has not only struggled to make a mark on court this season, but also had to deal with his severance with girlfriend Maria Sharapova and coach Roger Rasheed.
Speaking up on the issues perhaps for the first time, the 24-year-old Dimitrov opened up on the difficult phase of his life as he denounced the chitchats that have been going around ever since he parted ways with Russian tennis superstar in July this year.
“There will always be people who will speak, denounce and write about, but (it’s) okay,” Dimitrov told WeAreTennis.com.
Furthermore, Dimitrov’s premature egress from Wimbledon this season also made him end partnership with coach of two years, Roger Rasheed.
“I just do not like anyone to discuss anything related to Maria or Roger because only three of us are aware of the whole situation,” he continued.
“All that has happened is our job and no one else. Even if you do not want to hear speculations, however, just cannot avoid them.”
