Ajinkya Rahane Names Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid as Favourite Cricketers
No matter how big of a star you grow up to become, there’s a certainty that you’ve had your personal favourites or role models whom you looked up to as a kid. Same has been the case with Indian cricket player, Ajinkya Rahane.
In an interview with BCCI.TV, the soft-spoken India batsman answered a few questions, divulging that he grew up considering the legendary duo of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid as his all-time favourite cricketers.
The 27-year-old Rahane further revealed his best friends from the vocation, naming fellow Mumbaikars – Rohit Sharma and Dhawal Kulkarni – as his buddies, besides their teammate Umesh Yadav.
Recently, Rahane returned from a triumphant Sri Lanka tour, where team India pulled off a convincing 2-1 beating of the hosts in the 3-match Tests series. He played a pivotal role in the team’s success not only with the bat, but with his sharp catching as well.
