British tennis superstar, Andy Murray, became just the second player to qualify for the year-ending World Tour Finals after his quarter-final win over Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the Rogers Cup on Friday. He, now, joins World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the list.

This will be the third-ranked Murray’s eight consecutive appearance at the prestigious tournament. However, he’s yet to break the semi-final shackles, having reached the last-four stage in 2008, 2010 and 2012.

“It’s good to do it with a long time to spare,” Murray was quoted as per saying by the ATP World Tour website ahead of his scheduled semi-final battle against Japan’s Kei Nishikori.

“It’s nice and very different to last year when I ended up playing about six tournaments in six weeks and I was pretty fried by the time I got there,” he added.

“So hopefully I can prepare a little bit better for it this year. I always enjoy playing there.”

The tournament is slated to be held at the well-known O2 Arena in London from November 15-22.
