Top Seed Agnieszka Radwanska Eases into Quarterfinals of Katowice Open
No. 1 seed Agnieszka Radwanska looked in supreme touch as she stormed into the quarterfinals of the WTA Katowice Open in Poland without much ado on Thursday.
The local favorite needed just one hour and 13 minutes to prevail over World No. 112 An-Sophie Mestach of Belgium, pulling off a comprehensive 6-3 6-1 victory in the second round here.
“I’m feeling very well. It was another good match here for me,” Radwanska later reflected on her triumph, as quoted by the official WTA website.
“I didn’t know her before, so I’m really happy with this win, and I’m just ready for the next one,” added the Pole, who now moves on to meet Klara Koukalova in the last-eight stage.
