In a very important first leg of the World Cup qualifying playoff tie, we had Ukraine hosting 1998 winners France and it was a game tipped to go all the way and it did with Ukraine scored two goals in the first leg and kept the clean sheet as well. Now france has a mountaint to climb in the return leg when they host Ukraine on 19th November 2013 and we will have the match highlights from that match as well as we have posted for the first leg below.

Ukraine took the lead in 2nd half through Roman Zozulya, when the scored in 61st minute but another goal through a penatly kick on 82nd minute put the game in Ukraine’s favour when they take the field in 2nd leg. France will be hoping for the change of fortune or they will become one of the high profile exclusion from World Cup 2014 in Brazil.

France of course went on to beat Ukraine in the 2nd leg and made it to the exclusive FIFA world CUp to be played in Brazil. Massive performance from the french side.
