Vijender Singh (11-0, 8 KOs) will fight Ghana’s Charles Adamu (33-14, 26 KOs) as a part of November 22 fight night in Dubai, named ‘Rotunda Rumble 2’.

This promises to be a step up for Vijender, a 2008 Olympic medallist, given the fact Adamu has fought some of the biggest names in the super middleweight division; the list includes world champions like Carl Froch, George Groves, Rocky Fielding, and Billy Joe Saunders.

What makes him an ideal match for the big-punching Vijender is that only twice has Adamu been stopped ever since he turned professional in 2001.

The duration in terms of rounds hasn’t been confirmed yet, even as the fight is expected to be either an eight-rounder or a ten-rounder.

Vijender, who stopped local hopeful Mike Snider in his US debut in July, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for me to showcase my skills and to keep active as I continue my world title quest.

“I was proud of my last performance back in July, but I was coming off a long layoff. I am rounding into form, and fans are going to see the best version of Vijender Singh when I fight in Dubai.

Apart from Vijender, unbeaten Englishman Jack Catterall and Pakistani superstar Muhammad Waseem will also be in action on the fight night.
