49ers vs Broncos Highlights

The San Francisco 49ers traveled into Denver to face off with the Broncos on Sunday Night Football tonight (Sun., October 19, 2014) and history was on the line.

Denver quarterback Peyton Manning needed only three touchdown passes to break Brett Favre’s all-time record of 508, and the Broncos were looking to break it early.

After a methodical drive down the field, Manning hit receiver Emmanuel Sanders for the first of his three required scores (courtesy of Vine):

Manning then found a wide open Wes Welker for the second (Vine):

The 49ers drove down the field but were forced to settle for a field goal from Phil Dawson. History was soon at hand, as Manning found Demaryius Thomas for the record-breaking touchdown on this play (Vine):

The 49ers got their first touchdown with a short pass from Colin Kaepernick to Stevie Johnson, going into the half down 21-10 (Vine):

But that was as close as it got, as Manning and the Broncos rained down a storm of points in the second half, starting with this 40-yard score to Demaryius Thomas (Vine):

The Broncos added onto their lead with two Ronnie Hillman touchdowns, the first this 37-yard scamper (Vine):

Hillman made it 42-10 with this 1-yard touchdown (Vine):
