NFL Week 2 Highlights: Seattle Seahawks At San Diego Chargers
The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks decimated the Green Bay Packers in Week 1 of the 2014 NFL regular season, and they rolled into San Diego today (Sun., September 14, 2014) expecting to do the same thing to the Chargers.
However, the Bolts didn’t get the message, as they got out to an early 14-7 lead on the strength of two Philip Rivers touchdown passes to legendary tight end Antonio Gates. Rivers shook loose of some incredible pressure to find Gates in the corner of the end zone for their second hookup (courtesy of Vine):
Chargers Wide Receiver Keenan Allen also shook All-World Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman on this play (Vine):
Not to be outdone, Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin got his team on the board with this incredible touchdown run off a handoff (Vine):
Rivers put the Chargers up 27-14 late in the third quarter with this incredible third touchdown pass to Gates (Vine):
The Charges kicked a late field goal to beat the Seahawks 30-21, Seattle’s first loss by more than 7 points since 2011.
