Eddie Lacy Suffers Concussion In Week 1 Loss To Seattle
The Green Bay Packers’ 2014 season got off to a rough start when they lost to the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks 36-16 tonight (Thursday, September 4, 2014).
To add insult to injury, star running back Eddie Lacy was diagnosed with a concussion following a big collision with Seattle safety Kam Chancellor (courtesy of Vine):
Lacy came back into the game but was later taken to the Packers’ training room in the fourth quarter. Lacy was struggling to find a rhythm against the suffocating Seahawks defense prior to the injury, rushing for only 34 yards while catching 3 passes for 11 yards.
The second year breakout talent will have 10 days to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol before returning against the New York Jets in Week 2. Lacy also missed a game with a concussion last year.
