Cardinals’ Andre Ellington Game-Time Decision For Monday Night
The entire Arizona Cardinals organization was facing some incredibly bad news yesterday (Fri., September 5, 2014) when starting running back Andre Ellington was diagnosed with a foot injury that was supposedly set to keep him out for 4-6 weeks or more.
Today, however, the Cards can breath a bit, as it appears initial reports were a bit exaggerated. Cardinals reporter Darren Urban reported that Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said that Ellington did enough today that he could potentially play in the team’s Week 1 home game on Monday night against the San Diego Chargers:
Arians said Ellington did enough today that he could play Monday, but it will be game day decision. #SDvsAZ

With Ellington set to be the focal point of the Arizona offense, the news is better than great for a team that has already been decimated by recent injuries. Ellington is a tough play for fantasy this week, as his status won’t be decided until the last game of the week takes place. Because of that, he should most likely be taken out of fantasy lineups.
But if you’re just interested in rooting for the Cardinals, you’ve dodged a bullet. Stay tuned to TSM Plug for any and all updates on Ellington’s status as they arise.
