In what could turn out to be the most shocking move of the season, former Manchester City star Mario Balotelli seems to be Anfield bound. After three years playing for Manchester City, the controversial forward went across Europe to Italian giants AC Milan. 26 goals in 43 games for AC is no small task, but clearly he misses the English Premier League, and his agent is in Liverpool today hammering out the final details with the Merseyside club. Indeed, the Italian striker has confirmed through multiple sources that he won’t train with Milan again after today (August 21, 2014). Liverpool may have found their replacement for Luis Suarez, who left for Spanish super-club Barcelona earlier in the year. Perhaps the aggressive striking prowess of the Italian Balotelli will help lead Liverpool to Premier League glory this 2014-15 season? Initial reports estimate the move to Anfield to be worth £16 million; this is the same price tag he left Manchester City for 18 months ago, when moving to AC Milan.

Elsewhere in the league, Chelsea need to shift one foreign player to abide by the League’s payer regs. Another foreign signing would mean two will have to go, and Mattio Destro’s interest in the club may see a switch around in Jose Mourinho’s Blues. Talking of players leaving, Brazilian Manchester United midfielder Anderson is confirmed to be moving for around £10 Million to ex-club Porto.

Back to Liverpool, and The Reds are still knocking on the door of superstar striker Radamel Falcao. Although nothing is confirmed yet, the signing of Falcao could again strengthen the Merseyside team’s quest for League glory this season. The ex-Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o has allegedly been contacted by Liverpool over a potential move to the club.
