Man City beat Feyenoord in UCL competition

Manchester City won couple of Premier League titles already but since few years, they could not win it. But the ongoing season of EPL, they are in great form and yet to face any defeat in league competition. Besides, in Champions League, they have played five group stage matches already and won all of them. In their last match, Man City beat Feyenoord in UCL competition. The match was about to  draw but at the last moment of the game, they scored a match winning goal and defeat Feyenoord. Through the victory, they have become the group F champion in Champions league competition as well as secured their place in knockout round.

In tuesday night at Etihad Stadium, through the only goal of Sterling, the apprentices of Pep Guardiola got the amazing victory over Feyenoord. Since the beginning, Man City played very well and aggressively and so, the opponent team was under the great pressure. But, City could not find any goal. In the first half, Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne tried hard and they made several attacks in the opponent goal post. But in vain.

In the second half, Toure made a free kick but could not find the net at all. In 83rd minutes Jesus made a head but missed the target. At last in 88th minutes of the game, Manchester City got the most desired goal. Sterling went to the box with the help of Gundogan. Finally Sterling made fool to the opponent stopper and scored the winning goal so far. By winning consecutive five matches, with 15 points Manchester City is in top position on group F point table.

In other match of the group, Napoli beat Shakhtar Donetsk by 3 – 0. So, with 9 points Shakhtar Donetsk is placed in 2nd position on the group point table. With 6 points, Napoli has still hope to qualify for the next knockout phase. Because their next match will be against the lower ranked team Feyenoord. On the other hand, Shakhtar Donetsk will have to play their last match against Manchester City which team is in top position now.

As opposed to, in R group competition, Liverpool scored 3 goals against Sevilla but in return in the second half, Sevilla repaid the goals successfully and so, the match finished with draw. To the team of Jurgen Klopp, they have to wait to qualify for the knockout round till the last match of the group. With two victories and three draws, Liverpool has gathered 9 points and placed on the top. With 8 points, the Spanish Sevilla is in 2nd position so far.
