Bundesliga Season Start Date: 9 August 2013
Historicaly Bundeliga take into account the National teams commitments and since German will be part of the FIFA World Cup 2014 next year the German FA has decided to start the season couple of weeks before the usual dates and end the season before to give German National side more time to gel before the big event.

It quite a complex scenario, as Germans only plan 4-6 weeks fixtures ahead of the schedule to make it better for the fans and the teams commiments.
