Former WBO welterweight world champion Timothy Bradley returns to action on December 13th, in a busy night for combat sports. Amir Khan will face Devon Alexander on the same evening, and former welterweight champion Victor Ortiz will appear on the Khan vs Alexander card against Manuel Perez.

“Desert Storm” famously upset Manny Pacquiao back in 2012. He then lost in the rematch in 2013, subsequently handing “Pac Man” the welterweight title in the process. He now faces Diego Chaves on the Las Vegas card, who is currently 23-2. Losing his last fight against Brandon Rios by disqualification, the Argentinian “Jewel” is earning a reputation for himself.

Timothy Bradley gave the following statement regarding his foe on December 13th:

He’s [Chaves] a dirty fighter man. In the beginning I didn’t think he was, but then I went back and I started watching film on him,” Bradley said via Fightnews.com. “He’s a really dirty fighter. Throwing elbows, trying to scrape the eyes with the gloves, pushing down on the head. He does a lot of dirty tactics. Guess what? He hates getting hit to the body. So when I get in close on him I’m going to expect the rough house tactics.”

“Hopefully we’ve got a great ref in there that’s gonna be able to take control,” Bradley said. “I’m ready for that dirty stuff, I’ve got some dirty tricks of my own and everybody knows what it is. Bring it man, bring it.”

Bradley’s only loss was the Pacquiao rematch, and he has beaten top tier guys like Devon Alexander, Joel Cassamayor, Ruslan Provodnikov, JM Marquez and many more. You’d think that dirty tactics may be Chaves’ only advantage.

Let’s hope this fight doesn’t turn in to a foul fest…
