in UK BBC and Itv will be broadcasting the FIFA World CUp 64 matches live online and they made the deal back in 2005 for the next two world cups untill 2014. THis time BBC dealt with FIFA directly while before they negotiated with German tv company, which no longer operate now.

ITV FIFA World Cup 2014 BBC and ITV has a contract to show the group stage and knockout stage games in split while semi final, and the final which is shown on both networks.

In FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa ITV made couple of blunders when viewers in UK missed the goal of Steven Gerrard when ITV put a commersial break during the match. Hopefully this time there wont be any problems like.

BBC Match of the Day:
Gary Lineker will be the host as he signed the contract while there the commentators and studio team is yet to be announced.
