Roger Federer was involved in a hilarious exchange with a journalist following his latest Wimbledon.

The Swiss maestro schooled Italian youngster Matteo Berrettini 6-1 6-2 6-2 in the fourth round on Monday. Like most, senior journalist Ubaldo Scanagatta didn’t see Federer winning this easy, given the fact that his opponent had triumphed in Stuttgart recently.

Ubaldo, while talking to Federer during the post-match press conference, revealed he predicted Berrettini would lose, but not by the exact scoreline that he did.

“I didn’t see you in Halle,” Federer replied on a lighter note. “You didn’t travel. You took the easy route and took the TV, in your bedroom, just relaxing.

“This morning I wrote, I don’t believe that Berrettini can beat Federer, but he will not lose 6-1 6-2 6-2, which is exactly the score that came out. So I’d like to know…,” Ubaldo said, before being interrupted.

“If you should change your job or not, is that question? Think about it,” Federer joked.

“Should I resign?”

“Not just yet. Give it another couple of days, then we’ll speak again.”

Interestingly, Ubaldo has been involved in a couple of conversations as hilarious with two of the other members of the ‘Big Three’.

Apart from being trolled by Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open earlier this year, he was caught dozing off by Rafael Nadal at the same tournament.
