Afghanistan cricketers involved in altercation at restaurant: Report

Some Afghanistan cricketers were involved in an altercation at a Manchester restaurant, just hours before their scheduled World Cup clash against England, reports BBC.

According to the report, it all started after one person starting filming certain members of the team. They then objected to it before going on to confront the person involved.

Consequently, police had to be called in for settlement. Although no arrests have been made so far, the investigation into the case is already under way, the report added.

No names have been of the members involved have been disclosed yet.

Afghanistan went on to taste a 150-run defeat at the hands of England at Old Trafford.

The hosts rode on Eoin Morgan’s 71-ball 148 to amass a mammoth 397-6. The visitors, in reply, put on a valiant fight early on but could only manage 247-8 in 50 overs to lose their fifth match in as many games.
