WATCH: Novak Djokovic stops match midway to attend unwell spectator at Paris Masters
Novak Djokovic won many a heart on Tuesday… not just due to his on-court performance.
Squaring off against Portuguese qualifier Joao Sousa in his opening match at the Paris Masters, the second-seeded Djokovic put on a clinical show en route to a 7-5 6-1 victory.
During the 93-minute battle, the Serb also showed off sportsmanship by halting the proceedings for a bit to help an unwell spectator with a towel (see video below).
No wonder, the crowd gave him a round of applause before the spectator was sent off for medical examination.

“Absolutely amazing. No words. I was in tears. Give that man the sportsmanship award,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“It does not surprise me ! He is the nicest tennis player that’s why we love hop,” another one added.
That’s how you win hearts!
Meanwhile, Djokovic will continue his quest for another ATP 1000 title when he takes on Damir Dzumhur in the third round on Thursday.
