WATCH: Damir Dzumhur slips, ends up on other side of net against Grigor Dimitrov
Damir Dzumhur stumbled out of Aegon Championships in London on Tuesday.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina’s No. 1 put on a brave display but was edged out 3-6 7-6 3-6 by second seed Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria in the first round of the ATP 500 event.
And it wasn’t all smooth for Dzumhur during the two-hour-long encounter.
In a quest to return a dropshot, Dzumhur skidded while attempting a backhand volley as he went on to pass through from the bottom of net to the other side of the court.
Meanwhile, Dimitrov has a dangerous opponent next in 12-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia, who crushed Australia’s John Millman 6-2 6-1 in his opening-round match.
