You may have seen some crazy tricks like Roger Federer’s SABR or Nick Kyrgios’ between-the-legs shots on tennis courts among the recent ones. We are also sure you must not have seen anything like the latest one.

French player Benoit Paire pulled off a spectacle as he played a flying tweener during his second-round match against local favourite Kei Nishikori at the Japan Open on Wednesday. Yes, a flying tweener!

It happened towards the end of the second set when Paire unleashed a wide serve. He then followed it up by rushing to the net finishing it off with a tweener… the one he played from the air.

No wonder, commentators and spectators were amused.

That, however, couldn’t save Paire from overcoming the deficit as he went down 3-6 5-7 to Nishikori, the No. 3 seed, after battling out in the middle for one hour and 28 minutes.
