Stefanos Tsitsipas continued his dream run at the Barcelona Open as he clinched a 7-5 6-3 win over Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta to advance to the final on Saturday.

However, the Greek tennis star, who is yet to drop a set this week, didn’t have the easiest of days in the office.

During the fourth game of the first set, Tsitsipas lost his left shoe while sliding.

As if one incident of tripping wasn’t enough, the 19-year-old suffered a nasty fall later in the match.

He, however, got back to feet – literally – to prevail in the semi-final battle that lasted one hour and 35 minutes.

Tsitsipas will now look to create history when he takes on Rafael ‘King of Clay’ Nadal in the all-important clash on Sunday.

This will be the first head-to-head meeting between the two.
