VIDEO: CoCo Vandeweghe Throws Racquet on Opponent’s Side After US Open Defeat

American tennis player CoCo Vandeweghe flung her racquet towards the other side of the net during her doubles match at the US Open 2016 on Friday.

Vandeweghe, along with her doubles partner Martina Hingis, were a set and a break down against their opponents Kristina Mladenovic and Caroline Garcia, when it all stretched out.

Soon after conceding a point during the second set, Vandeweghe tossed her racquet over the net that went on to hit Garcia’s shoes, before Hingis apologized in the light-hearted situation.

Vandeweghe and Hingis, ultimately lost 6-3 6-4 to Mladenovic and Garcia, who now move on to the finals to face Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova.
