VIDEO: American tennis player JC Aragone makes ballboy play instead of him, loses point
In a bizarre incident, American tennis player JC Aragone lost a point after making a ballboy play instead of him at the $75K Drummondville Challenger on Saturday.
Trailing 0-4, 0-30 in the third set of his quarter-final against Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi, Aragone had perhaps lost all hope as he handed over his racket to a ballboy
The boy did decently well to hand around in the rally for a while but couldn’t really pull it off. Surprisingly, Bonzi was given the point as he went on to clinch the game.
He would go on to win the match 6-7 6-2 6-0, setting up a semi-final date with local favourite Vasek Pospisil, who beat Evan King 7-6 6-4 in the other last-eight battle.
