Roger Federer Topples Stanislas Wawrinka in ‘Match for Africa 2’
Swiss mates Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka teamed up for a cause as they locked horns in a charity match for Africa 2 and exchanged rallies in front of 11,000 spectators in Zurich on Sunday.
The twosome resumed their on-court rivalry for the last time this year, as both Federer and Wawrinka exhibited sheer dedication in serving for a cause.
The first set went neck-to-neck, with Federer eventually holding on to his nerves to clinch the opener via tie-breaker. Subsequently, Federer consolidated his serves in the second set and broke his counterpart once, to pull off the contest 7-6, 6-4 in 93 minutes.
