Roger Federer is known for his calm demeanour perhaps as much as his tennis skills. It turns out, though, he too has his moments, just like all other humans.

In a recent interview with Style Magazine, the 20-time Grand Slam champion revealed a recent incident where he didn’t speak to his wife Mirka for a while.

“We are all moody. But it takes a lot until I lose my patience,” Federer said.

He added: “For example, when all four children are walking in a different direction than I said, or just this morning, when I was afraid we would not make it to the airport on time.

“It is very important to me that I am on time or rather too early. I was so stressed that I did not say a word to Mirka during the half-hour drive.”

Meanwhile, Federer is currently in London for his most favourite tournament, Wimbledon. The Swiss, 36, will look to win a record ninth title on the premier grass-court event when he gets his campaign under way against Dusan Lajovic of Serbia on Monday.

Federer is 29-3 so far in 2018.
