The semifinal line-up of the ATP Monte Carlo Masters is all set! Seeds Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Tomas Berdych and Gael Monfils overcame their respective hurdles in the quarterfinal stage to go through to the last-eight battle on Friday.

First up, top-seeded Novak Djokovic looked in his prime form as he thrashed No. 8 seed Marin Cilic of Croatia. The Serb won a dominating 85 percent of his first-serve points and stood firm on his service throughout to complete a 6-0 6-3 triumph in one hour and 5 minutes.

6th seed Tomas Berdych also had an effortless day in the office, as his 31-minute on-court affair ended ahead of time after Canada’s Milos Raonic was forced to retire from the match due to an injury while trailing 5-2 in the first set.

Rafael Nadal, the No. 3 seed, had to dig deep to shrug off a stiff challenge from fellow Spaniard David Ferrer, eventually cruising to pull off a hard-fought 6-4 5-7 6-2 win after battling out for 2 hours and 44 minutes.

14th seed Gael Monfils’ dream run continued after the Frenchman stunned 9th-seeded Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov 6-1 6-3 in less than an hour. Earlier, he had knocked out World No. 2 Roger Federer from the tournament.
