Juan Martin Del Potro Announces Schedule for Grass-Court Season
In a major relief for Juan Martin Del Potro, the former US Open champion is slated to feature in the complete grass swing for the first time since 2013.
Del Potro, 27, has been incessantly bothered by an injury to his wrist that has kept him out of the action for the majority of the seasons in the last three years.
He was also compelled to pull out of the ongoing French Open 2016 – the second major of the year – after failing to recover from the wrist issues in time.
However, the Argentine giant will compete at three events in the grass swing including Wimbledon, as per the announcement made on his official Facebook page.
Del Potro is scheduled to partake in the Mercedes Cup (June 6-12) and Aegon Championships (June 13-19) before heading in to the Wimbledon Championships.
The Wimbledon begins from June 27 at the renowned All England Club in London.
