Top British female tennis player, Heather Watson, pulled off a stunning conquest of 5^th-seeded American Sloane Stephens at the WTA Hobart International 2015 on Tuesday.

49^th-ranked Watson needed just over an hour to cruise for a serene 6-3, 6-1 victory over her 34^th-ranked adversary in the second-round encounter on Centre Court.

“Sloane’s a great player,” Watson commented after her win, as quoted by WTA Tennis. “We’ve grown up together, playing each other through the juniors and now the seniors and I knew it was going to be tough.

“I was super happy with how I played today – that definitely helped.”
