Rafael Nadal is one player who is known for his old school playing habits.

But if his latest practice session is anything to go by, he apparently hid his light under a bushel (to be taken with a pinch of salt, of course.

Ahead of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, the Spaniard practiced with his Argentine counterpart Diego Schwartzman. And guess what?

Nadal played a 360-degree shot that would put all the showmen of the sport to shame. Don’t believe? Take a look at the video below.

Meanwhile, the 17-time Grand Slam champion is scheduled to get his campaign under way on Sunday, against local hope Jared Donaldson.

Should he make a winning start, he is likely to bump into hitting partner Shwartzman in the second round.

This tournament is important enough to stand on its own name,” Nadal said upon his arrival in Indian Wells.

“I love not being in a big city and the calm we have out here in the desert. I love the views and the organisation here is one of the best,” he added.
