The Wednesday’s play at the ATP 250 BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy 2015 didn’t witness any upsets as all the seeds in action overcame their respective second-round counterparts to go through to the quarterfinals.

Third-seeded Croatian Ivo Karlovic rode on his dominating first serve to pull off a 3-6 6-3 6-4 conquest of 18-year-old compatriot Borna Coric.

Former champion Lukas Rosol, the No. 4 seed this year, also rallied from a set down to complete a 4-6 6-4 6-3 victory against Serbian journeyman Dusan Lajovic.

5th seed Guillermo Garcia-Lopez put up a solid performance to oust former Australian Open runner-up Marcos Baghdatis, scoring a 7-5 6-2 win for his fourth triumph in as many matches against the Cypriot.

Besides, 7th seed Jiri Vesely also had a glorious day in the office, making short work of 89th-ranked Tunisian Malek Jaziri 6-3 6-1 in the second-round battle that lasted for an hour and 10 minutes.
