Serbian tennis star Ana Ivanovic and German football captain Bastian Schweinsteiger got hitched off to each other in a low-key ceremony in Venice on Tuesday.

The duo have been together from three years now and decided to take their relationship forward after serving their respective professional commitments.

While Ivanovic faced a stunning first-round exit at the recently-concluded Wimbledon Championships, Schweinsteiger led his team to the semi-finals of Euro 2016.

Meanwhile, up-and-coming American Taylor Fritz also got married to fellow tennis player Raquel Pedraza. The 18-year-old had proposed to his girlfriend in front of the Eiffel Tower just over a month back.

Earlier, German tennis star Angelique Kerber had walked down the aisle with Miso Navara over the weekend.
