Kei Nishikori gives hilarious answer when asked about tactics he would use against Novak Djokovic
Kei Nishikori ain’t giving anything away ahead of his big Wimbledon quarter-final against Novak Djokovic. Well, that’s what he suggested during his press conference on Monday.
Addressing media after his 4-6 7-6 7-6 6-1 win over Latvia’s Ernests Gulbis in the fourth round, Nishikori was asked what would be his most important tactic against Djokovic.
And, he had a funny yet the perfect answer to it. “Oh, do you think I will say that now?” he replied nodding his head, sending the entire room into laughter.
Meanwhile, Nishikori has predicted going on a war against Djokovic, a 12-time Grand Slam champion.
“He’s always like a big war for me. I always enjoy playing against him. It’s always big challenge,” he said.
“Maybe I don’t have good results or good record with him, but I always enjoy playing him,” the Japanese star added, who trails 2-13 against his Serbian counterpart.
“He’s one of the best players on the tour.”
“What’s most important tactic for you against him (Djokovic)?”
