Titans beat Warriors by 56 runs

Titans and Warriors both are two participants in CSA T20 Challenge which is a league T20 competition in South Africa. This season of CSA T20 Challenge started in 10th November, 2017 which consists of six teams. Most of them has already played seven matches in the season and Titans and Warriors also did the same. In their last match, Titans beat Warriors by 56 runs. Basically, the match was not finished normally but considering D/L method, Titans won by 56 runs. Earlier, Titans lost the toss and given to bat first. In selected 20 overs, they scored 172 runs by losing just three wickets. On the other hand, In 13 overs, Warriors scored 116 runs and back then they lost already nine wickets.

Titans had some talented players in their squad which were the top rated T20 specialist and also used to play with South Africa national team. There Dean Elgar and Henry Davids started the innings for Titans and in 57 runs, their partnership were broken. Elgar was out with 44 runs. Later in 74 runs, Henry Davids was out. He scored 23 runs so far. AB De Villiers also in the squad and he scored 48 runs so far in just 19 balls. He made four boundaries and four over boundaries. By losing just three wickets, Titans finished their innings when Heinrich Klaasen and Farhaan Behardien were on the crease. They scored 16 and 36 runs and remained unbeaten. Bowlers of Warriors were quite expensive and did not get much wickets. Three bowlers took three wickets for the team.

However, Titans scored 172 runs in just 13 overs and finished their innings. Due to rain the match was reduced and so each team got 13 overs to bat. Now, came to chase the score which seemed so big for Warriors. The score suited for 20 overs to chase but in 13 overs, Warriors were in pressure and in 31 runs, they lost their first wicket. In 2nd wicket partnership, they added more than 40 runs to the scoreboard and in 92 runs their 2nd wicket had fallen. SInce then, they started to lost wickets. In 13 overs Warriors finished their innings by scoring 116 runs and in the meantime, they lost nine wickets so far. Captain JJ Smuts scored highest 53 runs for the team.
