Team India Much Stronger than Pakistan, Says Bangladesh Captain Mashrafe Mortaza
Bangladesh had an incredible home series against Pakistan lately. Not only did they whitewash the visitors for the first time in the 3-match One-Day International (ODI) series, but also clinched the one-off Twenty20 International. Moreover, they also put up a solid performance with the bat in the first of the 2-match Test series that eventually ended in a draw, before letting off the hook in the second encounter.
The Pakistan series done and dusted, Bangladesh now gear up to host 2-time World Champions, India. The two teams are scheduled to cross the swords in a one-off Test match, followed by 3 ODIs.
However, Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza seems acquainted with the obliteration that their neighbouring country possess in the sport.
“Actually India is stronger than Pakistan regarding their batting line – up and spin department. Indian spinners are in superb form which is evident in Indian Premier League,” a precautious Mortaza was quoted as per saying by the official Bangladesh Cricket Board website.
He continued: “We will go through a bigger challenge. We could face it well if we can rectify our mistakes in the last completed series. It is not really possible to correct all these things within a month but we can try at least.”
The tour is scheduled to run from June 10-24, with Fatullah and Dhaka being the only two venues for the one-off Test and ODIs respectively.
