Angelo Mathews proved he still has some cricket left in him as he smashed a 90-ball 87 to propel Sri Lanka to a 122-run win over Bangladesh at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday.

In reply, Bangladesh failed to prove their World Cup performance was no fluke as they were bundled out for just 172 runs. By the virtue of the defeat, Sri Lanka completed a successful 3-0 whitewash in the ODI series.

Despite winning the match, and the series – and a bike in the post-match presentation – there was one embarrassing thing that happened with the hosts.

Home players Shehan Jayasuriya and Kusal Mendis decided to have some fun by taking the bike for a spin. Perhaps due to the dew on grass, however, the bike slipped.

Mendis, who was riding the bike, and Jayasuriya, his pillion, fell off before security officials rushed to their rescue. Fortunately though, the duo came out unscathed.
