The World Cup 2015 is all set for its first blockbuster semifinal between New Zealand and South Africa at the Eden Park on Tuesday. Not many have turned up with their predictions for the game, which replicates the intensity of the battle.

Having won all the 7 encounters so far, New Zealand have looked the team to beat. On the contrary, South Africa have faced defeats from India and Pakistan in the league stage, before clearing their quarterfinal hurdle against West Indies.

However, Sourav Ganguly believes that South Africa might just sneak a balanced affair to seal their maiden finale berth at the sport’s mega event.

“New Zealand look a better side on paper, they are in form, and they are playing at home with confidence,” the former Indian skipper wrote in his column for CricBuzz. “I’m not putting anyone ahead, it’s still 50-50. But, I just get the feeling, as I said at the start of the World Cup, that this could be South Africa’s tournament.”

Interestingly, both New Zealand and South Africa have never made it to the title-clash in the past events. The Tuesday’s winner of the much-awaited game will, therefore, have a new World Cup finalist.
