Rampant Pakistan Bundle Out New Zealand on Day 3

Pakistan continued their sublime form in Test cricket, as they extended their lead to 319 runs against New Zealand on third day of the first match against New Zealand on Tuesday.

Responding to Pakistan’s first innings score of 566-3, New Zealand batsmen found it an intricate undertaking to take care of in stereotype sub-continental conditions, to eventually get all-out for 262 runs.

For New Zealand, Tom Latham (103) was the top-scorer, Corey Anderson (48) and BJ Watling (42) chipped in with crucial contributions.

No acknowledgment could be taken away from Pakistan bowlers as well, who fought their way to restrict the New Zealand batsmen, as left-arm fast-bowler Rahat Ali (4/22) and off-spinner Zulfiqar Babar (3/79) impressed with the ball.

Openers Mohammad Hafeez (5*) and Azhar Ali (9*) further ensured that Pakistan don’t lose any wicket before stumps on Day 3.

Pakistan will look to inflate their lead on Day 4 and strengthen its hold over the match with around 180 overs of play still left in the match.
