Quetta Gladiators won by six wickets against Karachi Kings

Quetta Gladiators made their number four victory in ongoing Pakistan Super League 2017 against Karachi Kings yesterday and along with this victory, Quetta stopped the winning streak of Karachi Kings. Besides, all participating teams in PSL 2017 has already played six matches each where Quetta won highest four matches including the last one and as a result, they jumped to the top position of the point table. Lahore Qalandars is in 2nd and Islamabad United is in 3rd position by winning three matches each. Among all participants, Karachi Kings started the season by showing so much poor performance but suddenly they defeated the current champion and the most potential team Islamabad United but following next match, they beat Peshawar Zalmi as well. So, before playing the last match, Quetta Gladiators took them as a worthy opponent and followed the main strategy.

However, at the evening of 23rd February, 2017, Gladiators won the toss and as usually came to bowl. Though, the openers of the Kings Babar Azam and Sangakkara started the innings very well and added 63 runs but later, rest batsmen did not able to give their best. They used balls much than runs where Gayle played simply different than his style. He scored 29 runs in 34 balls. Just Pollard played well and scored 31 runs in 19 balls so far. At the end of the Karachi Kings innings, they scored 154 runs by losing six wickets. Mahmudullah played the major role as he took three most important wickets for Quetta.

154 runs was not poor even for the current runner up but their openers also played really well and made 105 runs partnership and then the result of the match almost decided. Both openers Asad Shafiq and Ahmed Shehzad scored more than 50 runs but in that day Pietersen was unfortunately being run out with 0 run. Quetta total lost four wickets to reach the destination and they took 19 overs. Shehzad scored highest 54 runs for the team. Sohail Khan took two wickets for Karachi Kings.

Now, Quetta Gladiators moved to the top and Karachi Kings demoted to the last position of the posint table again. The upcoming competition of Quetta will be against United and Karachi Kings will play against Lahore Qalandars.
