Perth Scorchers won by 6 wickets against Strikers

Perth Scorchers is the most successful team in Australian Big Bash League competition and this season, they have started with victory and it seems that they are going to win another title of BBL. They are undoubtedly standing on the top position on the point table of BBL currently and in their last match of BBL, Perth Scorchers won by 6 wickets against Strikers. It was the first meeting between Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers in the running season. And they will face one more time in the season as well considering the schedule.

Perth Scorchers won by 6 wickets against Strikers

Perth Scorchers played total eight matches in the season of Big Bash and managed six victories highest. So, with 12 points they are in top position. On the other hand, their nearest opponent Adelaide Strikers played seven matches and won five times so far. So, with 10 points, they are in 2nd position.

Now, the match between Strikers and Scorchers was thought highly competitive but it did not follow the calculation. Perth Scorchers got their dominating victory against Adelaide Strikers. It was the 27th number match in the season of Big Bash League which was placed in 13th January, 2018 and hosted at Traeger Park, Alice Springs. Perth Scorchers won the toss and decided to bowl first. So, came to bat Adelaide Strikers fallen into batting disaster and got packet so early with scoring 112 runs. In return Perth Scorchers chased the score by losing four wickets. They had to play 18.2 overs to chase it. So, Perth Scorchers won by 6 wickets.

Carey and Weatherald started the innings for Strikers and led a good partnership that added 49 runs at the beginning. Within seven runs two wickets were gone which were Weatherald and Ingram. Later, Carey tried to make another partnership but no one was there to give him proper company. Carey scored 44 runs highest. Last five players did not even score two figure runs. So, by losing all wickets Adelaide Strikers stopped their innings scoring 112 runs in 19.2 overs. Agar took highest three wickets where Bresnan and Kelly took two wickets each for Scorchers.

So, came to chase 112 runs Perth Scorchers started their innings with Bosisto and Klinger. In 26 runs both were gone where Bosisto scored 3 runs and Klinger scored 17 runs so far. Bancroft was not better but scored just 15 runs. Cartwright played well and remained not out with his 47 runs and his winning partner was Agar who stood still with 26 runs. By losing four wickets in 18.2 overs Perth Scorchers reached the destination. Ashton Agar of Scorchers was announced as the player of the match.
