Warmup Match & Champions Trophy Match 2013
Date: 03 June 2013
Venue: Edgbasten, Birimingham

Pakistan is playing their last Warmup match which before the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 gets underway on 6th June, Pakistan first warmup game against Sri Lanka was called off due to rain all day without a ball being balled but now they have a good oppertunity of getting some practice against South Africa who are coming into this match on the back of a good win Netherlands in the opening warmup they played a few days back.

Pakistan and South Africa will also be meeting in the group stages of the Champions Trophy so this warmup game gives it more meaning as they can figure how to go about in the group match next week. Pakistan came to england on the back of a South African tour where they were humbled in test matches but in ODI they gave South Africa a real go, drawing t20 series while lost the ODI series by 3-2.

Pakistan do tend to come good in the big events and they have upper hand on South Africa when it comes to big ICC Events, but South Africa are currently the best team out there both with bat and bowl, and they are ranked no.1 in Test matches as well as ODI matches, Some solid players in both departments of the game with Dayle Styne leading the bowling attack and ranked no.1 in the test cricket while players like Hashim Amla and AB Deviliers are part of the strong batting lineup.

Pakistan on the other hand rely on their bowling over the years, but they do have some quality batsman in Hafeez, Misbah, Kamran Akmal, but we all know that their maing asset is bowling and they will go into the match as slight favourites having played a few games in United Kingdom already.
