Pakistan faced batting disaster at Leeds

Pakistan cricket team has won the first Test against England which took place at Lord’s. They want to the same in 2nd Test. But in the 2nd Test, Pakistan faced batting disaster at Leeds. So, the Shaheens got packet so early before playing the whole first day. The 2nd Test started in 1st June, 2018 at Headingley, Leeds. In the match, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. The decision was so wrong for the team and like the first match where England decided to bat by winning the toss and finally lost the match. Now, Pakistan is on the way to their defeat at Leeds.

Pakistan faced batting disaster at Leeds

Azhar Ali and Imam started the innings for pakistan. In 0 runs, opening partnership was broken when Imam was gone with 0 runs. He gave catch to Root. Later, in 17 runs Azhar Ali was gone as well. So, within short time, Pakistan lost their two openers.

Haris Sohail and Asad played a bit well where Haris scored 28 runs and Asad scored 27 runs so far. If we consider the highest scorer of the team. Shadab Khan scored highest 56 runs in 52 balls. It seems that he did not play Test but bit of ODI style. Captain Sarfraz scored 14 runs for the team. Two lower rated players Amir and Hasan Ali scored 13 and 24 runs so far. In 48.1 overs team Pakistan lost all wickets. They totally scored 174 runs so far.

England captain Root just used four bowlers which were Anderson, Broad, Woakes and Curran. Excluding Curran, rest three tooks three wickets each for the team. Curran took one wicket so far.

Later, in the 1st innings England came to bat in the first day. Cook and Jennings started the innings for the English team. Cook scored 46 runs and Jennings scored 29 runs so far. Later, Root and Bess came to bat and they finished the first day very carefully. Root and Bess remained not out with 29 runs each. So, England scored 106 runs in exchange for two wickets in 37 overs so far.

Pakistan captain used five bowlers in the first day to get success. But they did not get success too early. Hasan and Faheem Sshraf took one wicket each for the team in the first day. It seems that winning the toss for Pakistan was not good and they should go for bowl instead of batting first.
